Julian Anderson (Chief Executive)

Julian Anderson is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and an expert in construction cost and building life. He has deep experience, equipping him with the knowledge to provide broad solutions to clients in realizing their project goals and vision. Julian provides value to clients as owner’s representative / project manager, cost manager, value management advisor, and construction arbitration / mediation professional. His philosophy is “helping projects to succeed”.

Prior to Henry Cooper & Sons, Julian was Global Board Chair and North American President of global construction consultancy, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB). He began his career with RLB in the Brisbane, Australia office as a cadet quantity surveyor. His proven success led him to grow with the firm, working in the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast offices then later taking the lead on establishing a presence in North America in 1991.

Julian played a critical role in successfully growing the North American practice to over 20 cities throughout the USA, Canada and Caribbean. His accomplishment is attributed to his keen sense of leadership, and the significance he placed on advocating for clients and working toward their best interest for successful project outcomes. Julian is driven by his passion for contributing to the growth of the communities around us by helping clients effectively reach their goals and sharing his expertise with the next generation of building industry professionals. He is often called upon to provide insight for business and trade publications and speak at industry conferences on a range of construction related topics, market trends, and construction impacts to the economic environment. He is Chair of the City of Scottsdale’s Building Advisory Board of Appeals and serves on the Certification Board for AACEi.
